CHICAGO — Four people were wounded, two of them critically, in shootings around the city between Thursday morning and Friday morning, police said.

An 18-year-old woman was in "stable" condition after being shot in her chest and right arm in Little Village, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

• Most recently, around 5 a.m. Friday, a 34-year-old man was walking in the 10800 block of South State Street in Roseland when a group of men approached and one of them asked the man who he was, Estrada said.

When the man ignored them, someone pulled out a gun and shot him in his left ankle, Estrada said.

The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was listed in good condition, Estrada said.

• At 12:45 a.m., a 19-year-old man was walking on the sidewalk in the 4800 block of West Madison Street in Austin when he heard gunshots and felt pain, Estrada said.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital, Estrada said, where his condition stabilized after he was treated for a gunshot wound in his left arm.

• Around 9:50 p.m. Thursday night, a 15-year-old boy was sitting on his front porch in the 7100 block of South Francisco Avenue in Marquette Park when a man walked up and shot at him, Estrada said.

The boy was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was in critical condition after being shot in his leg and the side of his body, Estrada said.

• About 3:35 p.m., a 56-year-old man was getting out of a car in the 1400 block of North Lorel Avenue in Austin when someone in the same car shot at him, Estrada said.

The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, Estrada said, where he was in critical condition after being shot multiple times.
