Man Charged for Fatal South Shore Shooting

SOUTH SHORE — Police charged a man for a Sept. 2 shooting that left a man dead and two others wounded in South Shore, according to a Sunday news release.

A 25-year-old man died after Shawn Black, 26, allegedly shot him in his head. Black is also charged with shooting a 29-year-old man in his chest, leaving him in critical condition, and grazing a 50-year-old man in his back, police said.

Black, of the 2600 block of East 77th Street, will face two felony counts of aggravated battery and two counts of attempted murder in the first degree when he appears in bond court Sunday, police said.
