CHICAGO — If you want to give the old college try in Chicago — and in the end make the most money doing it — go to Rush University.

The U.S. Department of Education updated its College Scorecard website, allowing teenagers and their parents to browse colleges based on costs, graduation rates and how much money students make after attending.

The health-science focused Rush University topped the list of schools within Chicago city limits, with students making $74,300 a year after attending.

Students from Illinois Institute of Technology came in second with $68,200 a year. University of Chicago students came in third with $62,800.

When it comes to costs, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago is the most expensive, with students paying an average of $38,809 a year.

For comparison, the Wright College campus of the City Colleges of Chicago costs about $4,515 a year to attend.

The average cost of attendance is compiled by looking at various factors like financial aid and family situations.
