ROGERS PARK — Ten residential blocks and five alleyways will get a facelift this month as part of the ward's promise to resurface roads with money allocated through Ald. Joe Moore's participatory budgeting process.
"Resurfacing these streets and alleys will serve as an important protection against a reappearance of potholes should this upcoming winter prove as brutal as the last several," Moore said in an email to residents.
Below is a list of streets that will be resurfaced this month (followed by the estimated resurfacing date):
• Columbia from Ashland to Clark (Monday)
• Damen from Fargo to Birchwood (Thursday)
• Glenwood (west of the tracks) from Lunt to Greenleaf (Saturday)
• Howard from Eastlake to Sheridan (Thursday)
• Hoyne from Jarvis to Fargo (Was scheduled for Wednesday)
• Ravenswood from Albion to Wallen (Saturday)
• Ravenswood from Wallen to North Shore (Saturday)
• Ravenswood from North Shore to Columbia (Saturday)
• Ravenswood from Columbia to Pratt (Saturday)
• Sherwin from the Lake to Sheridan (Saturday)
Below is a list of alleys that will be resurfaced this month (followed by the estimated resurfacing date):
• Alley bound by Bosworth to Ashland, Howard to Jonquil (Thursday)
• Alley bound by Clark to Ravenswood, Wallen to North Shore (Monday)
• Alley bound by Eastlake to Sheridan, Fargo to Birchwood (Friday)
• Alley bound by Sheridan to Greenview, Fargo to Birchwood (Thursday)
• Alley bound by Sheridan to Greenview, Jarvis to Fargo (Friday)
