Police Release Photos of Man Wanted for West Pullman Murder

CHICAGO — Police are seeking the public's help to identify a man who they say shot and killed a 28-year-old woman in West Pullman early Thursday.

The woman was standing outside with friends in the 1600 block of West 115th Street at 2:50 a.m. Thursday when a man walked up to them and shot at them, according to police. The woman, identified as Claudia Mister, 28, of the 10600 block of South Church Street, was shot in her torso, according to police.

Mister was taken to Advocate Christ Medical center in critical condition and was pronounced dead at 5:35 a.m. Thursday, according to police and Cook County Medical Examiner's records.

Police have released two images of the man they say fatally shot Mister. They described him as a black man who is 6 feet tall and 200 pounds with "numerous" tattoos on the back of his neck, his forearms and his hands.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call police at 312-747-8271.
