MORGAN PARK — Beverly Brews Fest sold out last year, and tickets are going fast for the event that returns with 27 craft beers ready for tasting at the Beverly Arts Center.
The festival runs from 7-10 p.m. Saturday at the arts center at 2407 W. 111th St. in Morgan Park. Samples of the beers along with food pairings are the catalyst for the event.
Attendees will also receive a commemorative festival glass. Three bands will play in the outdoor courtyard, including The Fisherman. This band's performance is sponsored by Malt Handling LLC, a beer production supplier.
The band Loud Clouds will also play in the courtyard and comes courtesy of Rolling Meadows Brewery. Local favorite The Leadfoot Band rounds out the live, outdoor music.
There will also be music inside the venue courtesy of some local brewers calling themselves These Old Guys Play Records and Carlos & Cara of Wild Onion Brewery.
A pair of food trucks will also be selling refreshments at the event. Gino's Steaks Truck serves cheesesteak sandwiches and specialty French fries. Boo Coo Roux specializes in Cajun favorites such as gumbo and hush puppies.
It costs $40 to attend the festival. A limited number of VIP tickets are available for $50, which includes early admission to the event at 6 p.m.
