LAKEVIEW — If you're staying in Lakeview instead of heading home for that family barbecue, rest assured there are plenty of ways to enjoy your three-day weekend.

Here are some neighborhood Labor Day events and specials worth checking out:

Get Soupbox Icyfruit For the Last Time: East Lakeview's Soupbox will permanently stop making its homemade Italian Icyfruit after Monday. The store cited rising prices for fresh fruit, limited floor space and the increasing minimum wage as reasons behind the change. A new summer product will replace Icyfruit next summer. 2943 North Broadway.

Tap Into Your Inner Rhythm with Tapman: Newly formed Chicago tap company Tapman Productions will close its 2015 season with M.A.D.D. Rhythms' "Supreme Love," which recreates chants in John Coltrane's "A Love Supreme." The show opened Thursday at the Athenaeum Theatre. 2936 N. Southport Ave., Previews 7:30 p.m. Friday, 3 p.m. Saturday. $10. Regular tickets $25.

Enjoy '90s Prices for Flat Top Anniversary: Flat Top Grill opened in 1995 to offer mix-and-match meals that let customers choose their own combinations of meat, sauces, starches and veggies, cooked on a flat-top grill. In celebration of its 20th anniversary, Flat Top is offering its create-your-own option at its original $9.95 price through Monday. They're also featuring special protein choices: pulled pork, andouille sausage and salmon. Lakeview location: 3200 N. Southport Ave.

Get Your Brunch on at Crosby's: Southport Corridor staple Crosby's Kitchen will keep its doors open on Labor Day, with a full brunch menu from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Enjoy not laboring on a Monday whilst you dine on bacon strata benedict, Maryland crab cakes and housemade monkey bread. 3455 N. Southport Ave., open 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday, Sept. 7.

All the Porn Dialogue, None of the Sex: Under the Gun Theater's latest show, "Porn Minus Porn," opens on Saturday. Live staged readings of porn film scripts (minus all the actual sexual acts) will answer the question of whether your favorite adult film story is as riveting "without all that pesky sex." We'd guess that while it won't be as, erm, stimulating, it will be plenty entertaining. 959 W. Newport Ave., Saturdays 10:30 p.m., $12.

Party At Hydrate All Weekend Long: Starting 11:30 p.m. Friday, Hydrate Nightclub plans to upgrade its entertainment with Miami's DJ Deann. London DJ Moto Blanco will host Saturday, but the big treat is an extended Sunday Funday featuring DJ Xtacy and go-go dancers galore starting at 2 p.m. DJ Spinters will take over in the evening, performing until 4 a.m. 3458 N. Halsted St., $10 cover after midnight Friday and Saturday, $5 cover after midnight Sunday.

Maybe Wrigley Field Won't Be Packed: With a great season (for the Cubs, anyway) winding down, this is one of the last weekend home series for 2015. The Cubs take on the Arizona Diamondbacks in a three-game series at Wrigley Field. Maybe with everyone away for the long weekend, you'll be able to grab some premium seats. The first 10,000 fans on Saturday will receive a free fleece blanket from Reynolds Wrap, and kids can run the bases Sunday. 1060 W. Addison St., 1:20 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, $15-258.
