ALBANY PARK — Albany Park weekly bike rides are switching to Thursday nights in September, and the new schedule kicks off with a route that takes cyclists on a tour of the neighborhood's theaters.

Halcyon Theatre, 3253 W. Wilson Ave., is the final destination for the evening, where riders will stop for a performance of "In Love and Warcraft." The show starts at 8 p.m. with an approximate 1½-hour running time. The production is free but donations are welcome.

To join the ride, meet at 6:15 p.m. at Roosevelt High School's parking lot, 3436 W. Wilson Ave. Bring a helmet, lock and lights along with your bike.

Future hourlong rides include a stargazing jaunt to Jefferson Park on Sept. 10 and a boxing show ride to Loyola Park on Sept. 17. All fitness levels are welcome.

The rides are sponsored by the Go Albany Park program, a collaboration between the Chicago Department of Transportation and the Active Transportation Alliance.
