CHATHAM — Hear from attorneys on what can happen to a person's property if they die without a will on Sept. 15.
The Law Project, Neighborhood Housing Services and the Chicago Housing Authority are hosting a workshop on wills, estate planning and home warranties from 5:30 - 7 p.m at 449 W. 79th St. Attorneys will conduct the free workshop, touching on the following:
- What happens to my property if I die without a will? What is probate?
- What happens if I become disabled and have no power of attorney?
- How can I protect my assets?
- When is the right time to handle estate planning?
- When I purchase a home, why should I pay for a home warranty?
