CHATHAM — Hear from attorneys on what can happen to a person's property if they die without a will on Sept. 15.

The Law Project, Neighborhood Housing Services and the Chicago Housing Authority are hosting a workshop on wills, estate planning and home warranties from 5:30 - 7 p.m at 449 W. 79th St. Attorneys will conduct the free workshop, touching on the following:

  • What happens to my property if I die without a will? What is probate?
  • What happens if I become disabled and have no power of attorney?
  • How can I protect my assets?
  • When is the right time to handle estate planning?
  • When I purchase a home, why should I pay for a home warranty?

Because space is limited, those interested in attending must RSVP. Contact The Law Project at: tlp@thelawproject.org or 312-939-3638
