BRIDGEPORT — If you want to avoid a traffic headache this week, stay away from Morgan Street between 31st and 35th streets.

That's where you'll find construction crews cutting trenches into the road and filling them with fresh concrete. The west side of the road is blocked off with orange tape and barriers, forcing passing cars into one lane.

At times, concrete mixers will block the open lane, bringing traffic to a stop.

The ongoing construction prompted Bridgeport Pasty to close shop until the roadwork is done.
