BEVERLY — Here's a look at crime numbers reported over the last two months in Beat 2221, which includes North Beverly and portions of Auburn Gresham.

Specifically, Beat 2221 stretches from 87th Street to 95th Street, between Western Avenue and Laflin Street. A CAPS meeting for the area was held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at in Christ the King's parish center at 9235 S. Hamilton Ave. in North Beverly.

Officer Jennifer Bushelon works in the CAPS office for the Chicago Police Department in the Morgan Park district. She shared crime statistics in the area for July 7-Sept. 1.

Another officer said the statistics might seem high, but the numbers represent a two-month period. These figures typically represent monthly crime data. He said the area averages between 1,000-1,200 calls for service each month.

Incidents Reported: 142

Arrests: 54 (49 adults, 5 juveniles)

Contact Cards: 218 (200 adults, 18 juveniles)
