The signature property in the Carl Street Studios complex in Old Town, an artful combination of three units, is being listed for $1.5 million.

In Carl Street Studios, located at 155 W. Burton, the work of Chicago artist and architect Edgar Miller is preserved — the majority of his stained glass, mosaics and frescos are inside.

The 5,500-square-foot offering, unit 7, combines three units. This is the premier property in this studio complex, a set of buildings that hosts 22 condos with eclectic Parisian courtyards and parallel rooftops created by Miller himself and Sol Kogen, Miller’s classmate at the School of the Art Institute.

This multi-level home has Miller’s original custom work throughout — original stained glass, including an impressively dramatic two-story stained glass window in double volume, as well as original sculptures, mosaics, built-ins and and carved doors.

“All of this home’s historical and architectural significance has been preserved," said Millie Rosenbloom with Baird & Warner, who is representing this property.

This home has a separate dining room, along with an eat-in kitchen with high-end appliances. The master suite is on the first floor, and includes a marble bath. A private 22-foot by 31-foot rooftop terrace shows off lush greenery and amazing city views. In addition, a two-car garage is a half block away with parking available for $450 a month.
