LINCOLN SQUARE — Anyone who's been burned by Auto Correct knows man can not rely on technology alone when it comes to spelling.

The Book Cellar's annual Adult Spelling Bee gives grownups a chance to exercise the part of the brain that used to know things like "'I' before 'e' except after 'c'" but has been coasting on SpellCheck since middle school.

Get back on the proverbial bike and enter the competition, set for 7-9 p.m., Sept. 4, 4736-38 N. Lincoln Ave. To reserve a spot as a contestant, call 773-293-2665 or email words@bookcellarinc.com.

Comedian Kelsie Huff is back as host, and authors James Kennedy and Robbie Q. Telfer are returning as judges.
