CHICAGO — Gun violence since Tuesday morning has left two men dead and 11 other people injured, police said.

A 25-year-old man was shot to death less than two blocks from President Barack Obama's home in Kenwood Tuesday evening, police said.

Later that night, a man was gunned down in a drive-by shooting in Roseland, according to Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

• Most recently, around 4:50 a.m. Wednesday morning, police picked up a man who said he'd been shot in the 5800 block of South Springfield Avenue in West Elsdon, Sedevic said.

Police took the man to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was listed in good condition with a gunshot wound in his right thigh, Sedevic said.

Police said the man is being uncooperative with authorities.

• Around 10:10 p.m. Tuesday, a man and a woman were standing on the sidewalk in the 4200 block of South Maplewood Avenue in Brighton Park when a man rode past them on a bicycle and shot at them, Sedevic said.

The woman, 25, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, Sedevic said, where she was listed in good condition with a gunshot wound to her upper left arm.

Police said the woman is a self-admitted gang member.

• About five minutes earlier, two 21-year-old men were standing in the 8900 block of South Parnell Avenue in Auburn Gresham when a car drove by and someone inside shot at them, Sedevic said.

One man was shot in his buttocks, Sedevic said, and the other was shot in his leg.

Both men were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, Sedevic said, where they were listed in good condition.

• Around the same time, a 22-year-old man was standing on the sidewalk in the 5600 block of South Ashland Avenue in West Englewood when a man jumped out of a blue van and fired shots, then got back in the van and fled, Sedevic said.

The 22-year-old was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, Sedevic said, where he was in stable condition with a gunshot wound in his right abdomen.

• About 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, a 23-year-old man was walking in the 1900 block of West 77th Street in Auburn Gresham when someone rode past him on a bicycle and shot at him, Sedevic said.

The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, Sedevic said, where he was listed in good condition with a gunshot wound in his leg.

• About 15 minutes earlier, two teenage boys were walking in the 6300 block of South Maryland Avenue in Woodlawn when they heard gunshots and felt pain, Sedevic said.

One boy, 17, was taken to Stroger Hospital after being shot in both his legs, Sedevic said. His condition later stabilized.

The other boy, 15, was listed in good condition at Comer Children's Hospital with a gunshot wound in his leg, Sedevic said.

• Around 12:55 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, three people were standing in the 8000 block of South Normal Avenue in Auburn Gresham when a car passed and someone inside shot at them, police said.

An 18-year-old man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center with a gunshot wound in his thigh; a 56-year-old man was taken to Stroger Hospital after being shot in his right arm and his left leg; a 25-year-old woman was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center with a wound in her left leg, Sedevic said.
