CHICAGO — Have ideas to reduce the budget and increase revenue in the 46th Ward? Well, here's your big chance.

Ald. James Cappleman wants to hear residents' ideas to help balance the budget Wednesday at the Town Hall Budget Meeting. The meeting will be from 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, at the Temple Sholom, 3480 N. Lake Shore Dr.

"Due to the pension crisis, the City of Chicago's 2016 budget shortfall is expected to be at around $754 million," Cappleman said in an email. "As my colleagues and I work together to create real solutions to fill this gap in our budget, it is more important than ever before to have as many creative solutions as possible."

Those who can't make the meeting can email the alderman or stop by his open office hours Monday from 5-7 p.m.
