AUSTIN — A 42-year-old man was shot to death while behind the wheel of a car in Austin Sunday night, police said.
Around 8:35 p.m., the man was driving down the 1000 block of North Lamon Avenue when someone opened fire from the street, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.
The man crashed into a parked car after being shot multiple times in his body, Estrada said.
Paramedics pronounced the man dead on site, Estrada said.
No one is in custody, Estrada said.
