Annual Cougar 5K Run/Walk Set for Saturday at Saint Xavier University

MOUNT GREENWOOD — Saint Xavier University will host the 15th Annual Cougar 5K Run/Walk at 9 a.m. on Saturday.

The race begins and ends on the university's main campus at 3700 W. 103rd St. in Mount Greenwood. The route also travels through nearby Evergreen Park.

The 5K is part of Saint Xavier's 2015 Homecoming Week.

Runners and walkers will receive a white cotton long-sleeve Cougar 5K shirt. Free post-race refreshments will also be provided.

Other race highlights include post-race massages and stretching, free blood pressure checks, children’s activities such as face painting as well as visits from the school's mascot, Champ.

Discounts are available for university students, alumni and staff. It costs $35 for runners/walkers who register on the day of the event.
