CHICAGO — Two people have been killed and seven wounded in shootings since Thursday morning, police say.

A 19-year-man was shot and killed in Brighton Park on Thursday afternoon, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. A man who appeared to be in his 20s was found dead in Roseland early Thursday, Sedevic said.

Most recently, a 26-year-old man took himself to Mt. Sinai Hospital after he was shot at 2:30 a.m. in the 1200 block of South Avers Avenue in North Lawndale, Sedevic said. The man was driving when someone shot in his direction, striking him in the side of his face, Sedevic said.

• At 11:50 p.m. Thursday, two people were injured after gunfire erupted over a car cutting the drive-through line at a Wendy's in Fuller Park, Sedevic said. The people who were wounded were injured by broken glass and were not shot, Sedevic said.

• At 11:30 p.m, a 22-year-old was walking in the 8200 block of South Anthony Avenue in Avalon Park when a man with a gun walked up to him and started to rob him, Sedevic said. The man with the gun took the victim's cash and shot him in his leg, Sedevic said. The victim was taken to Jackson Park Hospital and was in good condition, Sedevic said.

• At 7:30 p.m., a 36-year-old man was standing on the street in the 12000 block of South Michigan Avenue in West Pullman when a man walked up to him and shot at him, Sedevic said. The victim was shot in his lower back and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in fair condition, Sedevic said.

• At 12:30 p.m., an 18-year-old man was shot in the 3400 block of West Flournoy Street in Garfield Park, Sedevic said. The man took himself to Rush University Medical Center with wounds to his neck and side, Sedevic said. He was in serious condition, but no other information about what happened is available, Sedevic said.

• At 11:20 a.m., a 20-year-old man was riding his bike in the 10900 block of South Ewing Avenue in East Side when two men walked up to him and one of the men shot at him, Sedevic said. The victim was shot in the lower of his left leg and had a graze wound in his neck, Sedevic said. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in good condition.

The incident appears to be gang-related, police said.

A 65-year-old man was also injured when he was shot by men with pellet guns in Humboldt Park, Sedevic said.

No one is in custody in these incidents, Sedevic said.
