'Shakespeare's Greatest Hits' Comes To Ridge Park on Aug. 12-13

BEVERLY — Ridge Park in Beverly will host Chicago Shakespeare in the Parks at 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 12-13.

The free show titled "Shakespeare's Greatest Hits" will be held outdoors. The performance brings to the stage a mash up of scenes from the Bard's most celebrated plays, including "Romeo and Juliet," "Macbeth," "The Taming of the Shrew" and "As You Like It."

The show is directed and adapted by Dominic Missimi. He has staged plays, musicals and operas throughout the United States, as well as in Chicago, where he has directed for Drury Lane Theatre, The Vic Theatre and Chicago Opera Theater.

Chicago Shakespeare in the Parks visits 18 Chicago neighborhood parks throughout the city in the summer months. Since its inception, the program has brought the work of Shakespeare to nearly 50,000 Chicagoans.
