CHICAGO — It's hot and sunny, get outside! Here are some options.

1. Jazz Hands Optional: The Horner/Portage Park Jazz band, lead by conductor Don Sadofsky, will perform from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Portage Park, 4100 N. Long Ave. Free.

2. Little Stroll on the Prairie: Winnemac Park’s restored native prairie plantings are some of the loveliest around, and now’s the time of year to enjoy them in full bloom. Wood chip paths are lined by towering wildflowers, offering a glimpse of what parts of Chicago looked liked before the land was settled. Bring a blanket and a book and after your stroll, park yourself under one of Winnemac’s gorgeous willow trees for a relaxing late summer evening. 5101 N. Leavitt St.

3. Grocery Shop Outside: Loyola is hosting its weekly farmers market this afternoon. It's prime summer produce season, people. Stock up. From 3 to 7 p.m. at 1200 W. Loyola Ave.

4. Stay Classy: Will Ferrell plays Ron Burgundy in "Anchorman," a hilarious comedy about a woman trying to break into the male-dominated television news business. Watch it outside and try to ignore the people reciting it word for word. They will be there. Starts at 8:30 p.m. at Heritage Green Park, 610-30 W. Adams St. Free. BYOBlanket.

5. Clear Your Mind of All The Junk You Ate This Weekend: And head to Belmont Harbor for a free outdoor yoga session. Starts at 7:45 p.m. just southeast of the Belmont Harbor parking lot at 3200 N. Lake Shore Drive. Free.
