CHICAGO — Two people were killed and five others were wounded in citywide gun violence since Friday morning, police said.

A 32-year-old man was shot to death while walking in Austin, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

A 17-year-old boy is dead after what police believe was a drive-by shooting in North Lawndale Friday evening, Estrada said.

A 14-year-old boy was hurt after being shot in his left shin in Humboldt Park, Estrada said.

• Most recently, at about 2:40 a.m. Saturday morning, a 24-year-old woman was shot in Auburn Gresham. The woman was walking on the sidewalk on the 8100 block of South Loomis Boulevard, Estrada said, when she heard shots and felt pain.

She went to Mount Sinai Hospital, Estrada said, where she's now in stable condition.

• About a half hour earlier, a 40-year-old man was shot in his left shin in Little Village, police said. The man claimed to have been shot on the 2600 block of West 24th Street, but he was otherwise uncooperative with police, Estrada said.

He was brought to Mount Sinai Hospital after the shooting, where he's now in good condition, Estrada said.

• At about 7:45 p.m. Friday, a woman was shot in her left arm in Auburn Gresham, police said. The woman is in stable condition at Christ Memorial Hospital after being shot on the 8800 block of South Aberdeen Street, Estrada said.

Police have no further information on the shooting but said it was a "possible drive-by," according to Estrada.

• Around 3 p.m., a 23-year-old man was shot in the back of his head in West Englewood, Estrada said.

Two men were having an argument on the 6500 block of South Justine Street when one of them took out a gun and shot the other in his head, Estrada said.

The man was brought to Christ Memorial Hospital, where he's now in critical condition, Estrada said.

No one is in custody for these shootings.
