HYDE PARK — An evening of storytelling is coming outside to Elm Park for an afternoon with 2nd Story on Aug. 1.

Four storytellers will come to the park, 5215 S. Woodlawn Ave., at 2 p.m. to tell stories of connecting with strangers.

Colette Payne, J.C. Aevaliotis, Kim Hunt and Margaret Marion will tell stories about the people we never meet, those we meet anew and those we hope to meet.

The event is the storytelling group’s only show as part of the Chicago Park District’s Night Out in the Parks.

The event is free and open to the public, and participants are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets or a picnic.

For more about the storytellers, visit the 2nd Story website.
