Roseland Shooting Wounds Man, Police Say

CHICAGO — A man was shot Tuesday afternoon in Roseland, police said.

The 35-year-old man was standing on the street in the 200 block of West 95th Street about noon, said Officer Thomas Sweeney, a Chicago Police Department spokesman. A man with a gun approached and shot the man, hitting him in the leg, Sweeney said.

Information about the man's condition was not immediately available, Sweeney said, but he was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center.

No one is in custody for the shooting, Sweeney said.
