CHICAGO — Don't let a beautiful summer day go to waste! Here's what to do outsie today.

1. Party On!: Although Aurora is a bit of a hike from Chicago, that doesn’t mean Wayne and Garth aren’t hometown heros. Head to Lincoln Park tonight for a screening of Wayne’s World. The film is screening on the back patio of the Chicago History Museum, 1601 N. Clark St. The movie will start around dusk, 8:30 p.m., and is free.

2. Take a Walk on the Wild Side: You don’t need to head to Wisconsin to get away from the city, just make your way to Ronan Park. This slice of green space on the edge of the Chicago River in Albany Park has been restored to its natural habitat. Stroll among the wildflowers along a wood chip path and be on the lookout for deer and birds that aren’t pigeons. 3000 W. Argyle St. (just west of the river, between Lawrence Avenue and Argyle).

3. Eat Pizza With Your Pooch: Head to Andersonville’s Giordano’s outpost after work. Its garage doors remain open during the summer, so it’ll be like you’re eating outside. Plus, dog bowls and leash hooks are installed outside the doors so your pup can be right there with you. Giordano’s, 5207 N. Clark St., open until 10:30 p.m. Tuesdays.

4. Get A Burger And Beer At Moody’s Pub: Because you deserve it, dang it! Moody’s homemade fries, great selection of craft beers (pitchers usually $15-16), juicy burgers and bacon-stuffed salads are ideal summer treats when sitting on their sprawling, idyllic patio. Edgewater knows it’s hard to beat a summer night sipping from a stein while candles flicker and people may or may not be strumming a guitar at dinner with the family. You should check it out too. Moody’s Pub, 5910 North Broadway, open generally 11:30 a.m.-1 a.m.

5. Hang Around the Polish Triangle After Work: Take the Blue Line home? Get off at Division and enjoy comedy via OTH Radio Theater and poetry at “Latino Poets Night,” which will feature spoken word and songs by local poets, all part of "Tuesdays on the Triangle." The weekly event also features food from Cevapcici and Sweet Cakes Bakery. Runs from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Polish Triangle, the intersection of Ashland, Milwaukee, and Division. Free.
