CHICAGO — It's been a gross couple days, but it's allegedly going to clear up tonight. If you won't be Downtown watching Erykah Badu at the Taste of Chicago tonight, here are some other outdoor options in the 'hoods.

1. Spend an Evening with Ice Cream Team and Magic: Part of the Edgewater Chamber of Commerce’s “Family Nights” schedule, the Ice Cream Team ensemble will be dazzling families with magic, jokes, music and a variety act. The first 75 guests get free frozen custard from Edgewater’s own Lickity Split, so don’t be late! Broadway Armory Parking Lot, 5917 North Broadway, 6:30 p.m., Free.

2. Watch “Mrs. Doubtfire” Under the Stars: The world will never stop mourning comic genius Robin Williams, especially since the movies he starred in are among everyone’s favorites. A 6-flick tribute to Williams continues at dusk (around 8 p.m. but come earlier to get a good patch of grass). If you are in the area earlier, check out “Wicker Mic," an outdoor open mic event at the park that starts at 6 p.m. Located in Wicker Park, 1425 N. Damen Ave., on the softball field. Free.

3. Enjoy Cupcakes and Violins ‘On The Plaza’: Stop by the area just under the Loyola Red Line Station in Rogers Park to chow down on famous MORE Cupcakes while the sounds of Grace Affie soothe the soul as part of Loyola University's “Summer on the Plaza” mini concert series. Loyola Red Line, 6550 N. Sheridan Rd., 4-6 p.m., Free event, More cupcakes $3.75 and up.

4. Family Fun Two-fer With Concert and a Movie at Gompers Park: Enjoy a night out at Gompers Park starting with a concert by School of Rock, followed by a screening of “Dolphin Tale 2.” Crafts and inflatables in case the kids get squirmy.
