PILSEN — A 15-year-old boy and a 21-year-old man are in good condition after being shot in a drive-by shooting in Pilsen early Monday morning, police said.

The man was sitting in a parked car waiting to meet the teen on the 900 block of West Cullerton Street, according to Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. At about 5:40 a.m., when the teen walked up to the car, an unknown person drove up and fired shots out the window, Pacheco said.

The 15-year-old was shot in his abdomen and the 21-year-old was shot in his left knee, Pacheco said.

Pacheco said a female acquaintance drove the pair to Mount Sinai Hospital, where they are both in good condition.

No one is in custody for the shooting, but police are investigating, Pacheco said.

Police said both victims are documented gang members, and they believe the incident to be gang-related.
