BUCKTOWN —  Admirers of gardens or people looking for inspiration for their own greenery designs can find plenty of ideas at next weekend's Bucktown Garden Walk.

Set for 11 a.m.-5 p.m. July 11-12, the self-guided walk will feature more than 60 neighborhood gardens and 99 trees, a petting zoo and tours of the nearby Bloomingdale Trail, part of the new "606" park system.

As in previous years, the event's "home base" will be Club Lucky, an Italian restaurant at 1824 W. Wabansia Ave. where maps will be available and a Garden Oasis stage adjacent to the eatery will offer live music performances.

Mr. Singer will be playing at noon July 11, while "Tunes with Tim" will hit the stage at noon on July 12, according to the event's Facebook page.  Other bands will start at 2 p.m. both days and go into the evening playing a mix of rock, Americana, indie, acoustic rock and roots.

A petting zoo for young ones at Lottie's Pub at 1925 W. Cortland Ave. is set for 1-5 p.m. both days.

The event is free, though guide booklets have a suggested $10 donation to benefit the Bucktown Community Organization, a local neighborhood group.
