WICKER PARK — A Wicker Park bar and restaurant is kicking off this weekend's big Grateful Dead shows at Soldier Field with a Thursday party featuring the tapping of Dogfish's American Beauty.

The "Redemption Rye and Dogfish Head Boilermaker Extravaganza" at Jerry's Sandwiches, 1938 W. Division St., starts at 7 p.m. Thursday, according to the bar's Facebook page.

Representatives from Redemption Rye Whiskeys and Dogfish Head Beer will be at the gathering, which will include boilermaker pairings with Redemption 7- and 8-year-aged ryes, white and unfiltered whiskeys, and straight and high bourbons.

Jerry's will also be tapping Dogfish Head American Beauty, a Dead fan recipe-inspired beer. Other Dogfish Head options include 60 Minute IPA; Burton Baton; Palo Santo Marron Brown Ale; Raison D'Extra and Midas Touch.

Additionally, Jerry's is offering 20 percent off all sandwiches to all Grateful Dead ticket holders from Friday through Sunday.
