FUH Opens on Lincoln With Pho, Asian Churros

LINCOLN PARK — The fast-casual spot FUH is now open and serving up some unique takes on Vietnamese food.

The restaurant, 2218 N. Lincoln Ave., features an order-as-you-walk-down-the-line style similar to Chipotle, with a few dishes you won't find at any of the Vietnamese restaurant on Argyle.

Traditional pho is available with beef broth, but FUH also offers up a chicken version.

Co-owner Quan Dao is quick to point out his take on a churro: a deep fried dough strip, similar to a traditional Asian bread stick, topped with cinnamon sugar and choice of sweet condensed milk, honey or Nutella for a dipping sauce ($2.99).

"My joy in life is being able to play in the kitchen," Dao said.

The restaurant also serves Vietnamese iced coffee, consisting of beans roasted with cocoa and butter, served with sweet condensed milk.
