UPTOWN — Calling all artists: Sunnyside Mall's Arts & Music Festival is seeking applications.
The fest, now in its third year, will be held Aug. 1 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Sunnyside Mall, the concrete area on Sunnyside Avenue between Magnolia Avenue and Beacon Street.
The committee is looking for local artists, who make everything from jewelry and paintings to prints and sculptures. They're also looking for musicians to perform.
All work must be handmade. A 8-foot-by-8-foot spot within the mall costs $20. The fee will go directly toward the Sunnyside Mall.
