AVONDALE — Police are warning Avondale and Hermosa residents after a series of armed robberies since May 30.
In the robberies, police said multiple men, armed with a handgun, approach victims on the street or in small stores and demand money, either by use of force or threat of force.
The robberies took place at the following times and locations:
• 3000 block of North Milwaukee Avenue on May 30 at approximately 11:45 p.m.
• 3900 block of West Barry Avenue on June 9 at approximately 8:30 p.m.
• 3000 block of North Karlov Avenue on June 15 at approximately 9:30 p.m.
• 2200 block of North Karlov Avenue on June 16 at approximately 6:48 p.m.
