4 Wounded in Shootings Since Monday Morning

CHICAGO — Four people have been wounded in shootings since Monday morning, police said.

Around 10:45 p.m. Monday, a 21-year-old man was shot in his lower left leg by another man in the 7800 block of South Carpenter Street in Auburn Gresham, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police Department spokeswoman.

The man was taken to St. Bernard Hospital in fair condition, Sedevic said.

Around 8:10 p.m., a 41-year-old man was shot in his right hip as he walked in the 6400 block of South Francisco Avenue in Chicago Lawn during a possible drive-by shooting, Sedevic said.

The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, Sedevic said.

A 31-year-old was critically wounded in a shooting in Irving Park Monday afternoon, and a 23-year-old man was wounded in a possible drive-by shooting in West Town.

No one is in custody for the shootings, Sedevic said.
