CANARYVILLE — People driving through the neighborhood on Halsted Street may have noticed the giant "WE ARE CLOSED" sign taped to the front window of Amelia's Mexican Grille.

After eight years of running the business in his building at 4559 S. Halsted St., restaurant owner Rigo Sanchez decided to close the joint in late May.

"I couldn't find good help," Sanchez said in a phone interview with DNAinfo Chicago.

But Sanchez, who has several real estate and construction projects in the city, said is looking for someone else to take over the reins and open a business in the building. He said he'd even be open to having a businessman take over the Amelia's name and continue running the place as a Mexican restaurant.

Anyone interested in renting the property can reach Sanchez at 708-516-9119.
