BUCKTOWN —  At Chicago Alternative Policing Strategy (CAPS) meetings, local officers are prepared to meet with Wicker Park and Bucktown residents who are concerned about crime or want to know what types of crime to watch out for based on recent statistics.

The Shakespeare District Police, which have five beats patrolling along The 606's newly opened Bloomingdale Trail, will host meetings with residents this week as part of every-other-month CAPS gatherings.

Shakespeare District Cmdr. Marc Buslik, who was promoted from lieutenant to commander in April, serves as one of the driving forces behind @ChicagoCAPS14, an active Twitter feed offering regular post like "Warrant Wednesday" and crime alerts.
