CHICAGO — Police are warning residents of Rogers Park after several burglaries around the neighborhood.

During the burglaries, thieves broke into the homes and rummaged through bedroom dressers for cash and jewelry.

During the first incident, which occurred between 1- 9 p.m. May 22-24 in the 1700 block of West North Shore Avenue, the thief kicked open locked bedroom doors, police said.

Between 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. June 3, thieves hit a home in the 6700 block of North Hermitage Avenue. Between 2:30-4:10 p.m. June 9, thieves burglarized a home in the 1700 block of West Wallen Avenue, police said.

Anyone with information on the burglaries is asked to call detectives at 312-744-8263.
