STREETERVILLE — The Windsor will focus on shared plates and craft cocktails when it opens in mid-July.
The restaurant, 160 E. Huron St., will serve American fare but the menu will be seasonal and ingredient-driven, with top billing going to porchetta, leg of lamb and other rotisserie specialties, according to a Windsor news release.
The 5,000-square-foot property was previously used by Elephant & Candle.
It is being remodeled for The Windsor, which will "loosely" resemble Crosby's Kitchen in Lakeview, though The Windsor will have a "grown-up, downtown twist," according to the restaurant. The restaurants are owned by 4 Star Restaurant Group.
