CHICAGO — Two boys have been charged with a shooting that wounded two people in Riverdale Friday night, police said.

The two boys, whose ages were not released, have been charged as adults for aggravated discharge of a firearm, police said in a statement.

Around 10:30 p.m. Friday, two men, 60 and 21, where inside a home in the 13200 block of South Vernon Avenue when they heard shots and felt pain. Both men were shot in their legs and taken to Advocate Christ where their conditions had stabilized, said Officer Stacey Cooper, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

Officers were able to arrest the alleged shooters a short distance away, police said.

The boys are scheduled to appear in bond court Monday, police said.
