CHICAGO — Officials found a body of an adult after extinguishing a dumpster fire early Saturday in Brighton Park, police said.

Around 9:55 p.m., the Chicago Fire Department responded to a rubbish fire located in an alley in the 4200 block of South Kedzie Avenue, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

When the fire was extinguished, fire officials discovered the remains of an adult, whose gender and age was unknown, Estrada said.

Police have opened an arson and death investigation.
