PORTAGE PARK — The Filament Theater will be transformed into an enchanted forest by Two Pence Theatre Co.
The theater company will perform William Shakespeare's classic "A Midsummer Night's Dream" in the heart of the Six Corners Shopping District at the Filament Theater, 4041 N. Milwaukee Ave.
Seven actors will play more than 21 roles "to tell the tale of a group of neighbors who bribe, lie, delight, confuse, entice, entertain and possibly even love each other," company leaders said.
The play opens Monday, with performances scheduled through July 11.
Performances will take place at 7:30 p.m. Monday and June 18-19, 25-27, and July 1-3, 8-11. Matinee performances will take place at 3 p.m. June 21, June 28 and July 11.
General admission tickets for the show are $25, with discounts available for children younger than 15, veterans and theater professionals.
