CHICAGO — A new survey by Chicago-based CareerBuilder collected some of "the most bizarre things" employees were caught doing on the job.

From the survey of some 2,100 human resources managers, workers were discovered:

• Taking a sponge bath in the bathroom sink

• Looking for a mail-order bride

• Playing a video game while sitting in a bathroom stall

• Drinking vodka while watching Netflix

• Searching for "cute kittens" on Google images

• Slashing another employee's car tires

• Sleeping on the CEO's couch

• Making a model airplane

• Flying drones around the office

• Printing pictures of animals, naming them after employees and hanging them in the work area

The HR people were asked about the biggest "normal" way productivity is killed. No 1: cellphones and texting.

CareerBuilder specializes in job placement and posts job openings on its site.
