CHICAGO — A girl was sexually assaulted in the stairwell of her apartment building on the South Side, police said.

Around 4:30 p.m Sunday, a man followed the girl into the elevator of the apartment building in the 6300 block of South Calumet Avenue, then pulled her into a stairwell and assaulted her, police said.
