HYDE PARK — Barrel of Monkeys will perform the best stories of the year, written by third- to fifth-grade authors, Tuesday at the Logan Center for the Arts.

The free event at 7:30 p.m. at the Logan Center, 915 E. 60th St., brings to life the stories from students in the 10 classrooms and after-school writing workshops run by Barrel of Monkeys.

The workshop leaders will turn the students’ work into a fully produced professional theater production directed by Joseph Schupbach.

The performance is preceded by a reception at 6:30 p.m.
