ROGERS PARK — The Frank Lloyd Wright mansion restored by Col. Jennifer Pritzker and reopened last year will celebrate its 100-year birthday — and with a bang.

Pritzker's real estate holding company, Tawani Enterprises, will throw a party 1-4 p.m. June 6 at 7415 N. Sheridan Road that will include tours, refreshments, music and an unveiling of a gold and silver commemorative Emil Bach House coin.

Tawani said in a news release that representatives of the State of Illinois would also be in attendance to present a proclamation to honor the occasion.

The event is open to the public but a limited number of people can attend. RSVP to stay@emilbachhouse.com to claim a spot.

Emil Bach, former co-owner of the Bach Brick Company, commissioned Wright to build the home, which was completed in 1915. Then Bach and his wife, Anna, moved into what became Wright's final commission in Chicago.

The Bach House was designated a Chicago Landmark on Sept. 28, 1977, and entered into the National Register of Historic Places on Jan. 23, 1979.
