CHICAGO — Police are searching for two men who tried to lure a boy into a truck in Logan Square Wednesday afternoon.

Around 3:30 p.m., the boy was walking in the 2800 block of West Belden Avenue when he was approached by two men in a pickup truck, police said in a statement.

The driver of the truck asked for help and said, "My mom is having a heart attack, can you get in the back?"

After the boy said he was calling the police, the men drove east on Belden, then south on Milwaukee Avenue, police said.

The driver was described as a clean-shaven white man aged 30-35 with tan skin. The man spoke with an accent, possibly Polish, police said.

The passenger was described as a Hispanic man with messy facial hair. He was wearing a white or gray T-shirt, police said.

The pickup was described as a white two-door Chevrolet with a yellow or orange light on the roof. Police said it might be a construction vehicle.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 312-744-8200.
