AUBURN GRESHAM — The Greater Auburn Gresham Development Corporation is hosting a small business forum on June 9.

The free event, geared toward small-business owners, lenders, residents and service providers, will be held from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at 7808 S. Halsted St. Attendees will learn how they can access capital, get small business assistance, better market their businesses and more.

Norma Sanders, the organization's director of special initiatives and program manager for the neighborhood business development center, said almost 100 people attended the event last year. It's an opportunity for people to ask questions about everything from obtaining a business license to understanding TIFs.

She encouraged small business owners to attend and said that it's not as formal as people might think.

"There is no pressure, you can be in and out. It's open, and since there's no big presentation, people can really engage" with the representatives, Sanders said.
