CHICAGO — A 24-year-old suburban man died after falling from a catwalk at the Aragon Ballroom Friday night, authorities said.

Kyle Kirchoff, 24, of Hanover Park was pronounced dead at Weiss Memorial Hospital at 10:54 p.m. Friday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

Around 10:20 p.m., Kirchoff was at the music venue at 1106 W. Lawrence Ave, when he fell from the catwalk and was impaled on two pieces of metal protruding from beneath the floor. He was punctured twice in his chest and taken to the hospital, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.
