CHICAGO — Four people were wounded in separate shootings since Monday morning, police said.

In Irving Park, a 29-year-old man was critically wounded after he was shot in his torso.

Most recently, at 5:26 p.m., a 19-year-old was shot in his back in the first block of East 36th Place in Bronzeville, said Officer Thomas Sweeney, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man, who police said was a documented gang member, was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition.

In North Lawndale, a 22-year-old man walked into Mount Sinai Hospital with a gunshot wound in his foot around 11:30 a.m., said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was in good condition, and told investigators he had been shot in the 3800 block of West Roosevelt Road, Sedevic said.

A few blocks a way, a 17-year-old boy was riding his bike in the 1600 block of South Springfield Avenue when he heard shots and felt pain at 11:10 a.m., Sedevic said.

The teenager was shot in his upper right thigh and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was listed in good condition, Sedevic said.

According to police, the teenager was being uncooperative with investigators.

Monday's shootings bring the total to nine dead, and at least 33 wounded — including a 4-year-old girl, since Friday night.
