Subway Sandwich Shop Robbed on Near West Side

CHICAGO — A man robbed a Subway restaurant on the Near West Side Monday afternoon, officials said.

Around 1 p.m., a man walked into the restaurant in the 1500 block of West Madison Street brandishing a knife and demanding money, said Officer Thomas Sweeney, a Chicago Police spokesman.

After the victims complied, the man ran away, Sweeney said.

No injuries were reported.
