WEST TOWN — Police are warning residents of the Near West Police District of a string of recent burglaries in the area.
In each of the four cases, a man forced his way into homes or entered them through open doors before burglarizing them, police said.
The burglaries occurred at:
• 9 a.m. May 5 in the 2000 block of West Thomas Street
• 8 a.m. May 8 in the 1500 block of West Chicago Avenue
• 9:30 p.m. May 11 in the 1400 block of West Augusta Boulevard
• 8 a.m. May 15 in the 1100 block of North Ashland Avenue
Anyone with information about the burglaries is asked to call police at 312-747-8382.
