CHICAGO — A 26-year-old man was shot on the Bishop Ford Expressway after an argument Downtown early Thursday, police said.

Around 4:50 a.m., a passenger in a vehicle was shot on the Stony Island ramp of the Bishop Ford near 103rd Street, said State Police Sgt. Dominick Falcone.

The passenger and two others, a 21-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman, were in an argument with another person Downtown, when that person followed them to the on-ramp and began firing shots, Falcone said.

The 26-year-old passenger was shot and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, Falcone said.

The outbound Bishop Ford Freeway was shut down near 103rd Street while officers canvassed the scene but was reopened around 7:30 a.m., said Illinois State Police Ivan Bukaczyk.
